Serena Y. Cheng is a 2D animator and illustrator whose work explores themes of identity and warped realities.

She graduated from Pratt Institute, where she directed her award-winning thesis film Broken Script, featured in the university’s Best Of screening. She has since contributed to projects including The Fisherman’s Lullaby with the Titmouse Foundation (FX animation, clean-up animation and character animation) and RAIZ at the School of Visual Arts (FX animation and compositing).

During her junior year, she studied abroad at the University of the Arts London, an experience that broadened her artistic perspective and approach to storytelling.
